Her great-grandfather, T.V. Sundaram Iyengar, established the bus company T.V. Sundaram Iyengar & Sons, which later became the parent company of the TVS Group.
Her father and grandson of Sundram Iyengar, Venu Srinivasan, began working as a mechanic in one of the TVS garages. He became the Managing Director of Sundaram Clayton Ltd by 1979 and was appointed as Chairman of the TVS Motor Company in 2002. Mother, meanwhile, led TAFE Limited to its present status as the world’s third-largest tractor manufacturer, with business relationships in over 75 countries. She presently holds the position of Chairman and CEO of TAFE.
Venu’s younger brother Sudarshan Venu entered as a joint managing director for TVS in the year 2014 and cousins Arundhati and Arathi Krishna managed to leave their own hallmark on industrial component manufacturer Sundaram Fasteners since taking on the positions of Additional Director and Executive Director since 2005 and 2006.
